Don't Cry Over Spilled Punch!

I know there are some of you in bloggerland that probably wonder what a stay at home mother of zero does all day. Well to be completely honest with you most of the time I am cleaning up messes that I make during the day. Many of you know that I am a very clumsy person, I trip all the time I always spill my food at dinner so on and so forth. But lately I have been impressed by my lack of clumsyness. I haven't fallen once during this brutal winter weather which is amazing. It has been about two months since the last time I fell down my stairs. So apparently I began to get a little cocky about my skill. So today I came home from the gym and went to the fridge to pour myself a glass of fruit punch (my favorite). I poured my glass without any complications and put the pitcher of juice back into the fridge. Low and behold I must of only put the pitcher 1/4 of the way onto the shelf because about 2 seconds late the whole entire 2qt pitcher minus the 8 ounces I poured into my glass spilled onto the kitchen floor! It was such a mess I wish I could have blamed it on a two year old but no, it was all me!

Every Day is a New Beginning

Tonight at ww I managed to gain .2lbs. That isn't very much, but it still counts as a gain and the worst part is the scale took a step in the wrong direction. That could possibly be due the the 8 pieces of monkey bread I had on Sunday for breakfast or the 3+ biscuts I had for dinner. The good news is that tonight I was able to get a new perspective on my journey to weightloss. That new outlook is that everyday is a new day. Even though I made pretty bad decisions this weekend I was able to pull it back together to make better choices on Monday. At one ww meeting a lady mentioned that if you joined ww and lost week every week until you hit your goal you wouldn't have learned anything. Which is so incredibly true! Instead of looking at my weight gain this week as a failure I can choose to change the way I look at it and see it as feedback. Feedback that makes me aware that no one in their right mind can eat 800 calories of monkey bread + two other meals in the day and think it won't show up on the scale. So here's to new beginnings and seeing failure as feedback!

What a Happy Reunion

I would love to have been a witness at the reunion of these two sweet and wonderful people on Sunday evening. Although I am very saddend that our beloved Prophet has passed away I am so happy that he is finally able to be with his sweetheart and eternal companion. I have been blessed in so many ways from President Hinckley his teachings, and his wonderful example. What a great man the world has lost, but his legacy will live on for years to come. I will always hold him dear to my heart. Goodbye President Hinckley... I love you and will miss you.

Jeff's Commercial Debut!

To all the viewers of the blog who were excited to see Jeff's commercial debut I have some bad news. I tried to upload the video to google videos so I would be able to post it on my blog. Well after three hours of waiting for the video to upload I watched it and what did I hear? A bunch of screeching. You could see everything but without sound it was no good. So I apologized to everyone who was anxiously awaiting the arrival of that video to the blog. If you are really wanting to see it come over and we can watch it together!

For those of you who don't know I have been doing weight watchers for the past 10 months and have lost about 17lbs. It has been a long road and at many times very discouraging but I have been able to push through with the help of "my weight watcher friends"! These girls have been such a great support to me not only in my weightloss, but in my life in general and I am so thankful for them. While looking at Becky's blog today I saw her list and wanted to create my own to give myself the boost I need to make healthy choices that one day will lead me to reach my weightloss goals.

1.What do you love about your body?
Actually there are a couple of things, my hair (this one took me awhile to embrace), my eyes, eyebrows, and teeth.

2.When did you surprise yourself with your physical strength?
On Tuesday when I was working out with Leisa and did bicep curls (15 reps with 20lbs). I was completely shocked!

3.When were you braver than you thought you could be?
When I finally admitted to myself that I needed help with my weight and signed up for weight watchers all by myself. It took a lot of courage because in order to get myself to sign up I had to admit I had a problem that I couldn't take care of myself. For those of you who don't know it is really hard for me to ask for help so this tiny step was huge for me.

4.When did your self control blow you away?
To be completely honest everyday I make smart choices about the things I should put into my body it blows me away! I used to eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. The fact that I now take time to think before I eat surprises me everytime it happens.

5.What is your proudest moment ever?
My proudest moment was the day I graduated college. I couldn't believe that I did it. The whole day I was so emotional because I had set a goal and didn't let anything get in my way. It was so exciting!

6.When was the last time you felt beautiful?
On my wedding day, right after Jeff and I were married and I put on my killer wedding dress. I felt like a million bucks!

7.Why do you deserve to meet your goals?
I think I deserve to meet my goals because I have struggled with my weight and self image for years. This past year is the first time I have chosen a healthy way to change the things about my body that I don't like. Not only have I been successful, but I have stuck it out during the moments I thought it wasn't possible (thanks to the ww girls) and haven't let plateau's and little gains get in my way.

Rice Crispy Treats & Movie Stars

Today I made rice crispy treats for the first time in my adult life. They tasted so delicious that I thought I would give them a shout out on my blog. When I was a kid I remember buying these for lunch every day in middle school at Lowell Scott. I think they only cost me 35 cents. What a deal! Not even half a dollar for the most ooey gooey delicious rot your teeth out treat! I think the ones I made today turned almost as good as the ones made by lunch ladies. Besides eating treats today I was also reminded that my husband is a movie star! Today Jeff reminded me that he was going to be in a commercial at work next week. His character is supposed to be a rich, successful person (that's probably why he is getting fitted for a tux next week) because rich people wear tuxedos every day don't they? Hopefully I can get my gruby little hands on a copy of the commercial when it is finished so I can post it on the blog. So here's to my movie star of a husband!

This is a pic of my face when Jeff reminded me about his commercial debut!

First Post Ever!

I am new to this whole blogging thing, but I think that once I get the hang of things I just might be addicted. I have been faithfully reading people's blogs for the past 5 months telling myself that I really need to get up to speed and start a blog for the Fuhriman Family (Jeff and Me). So here I am at the start the new year blogging! I hope that you will enjoy our future posts as well as pictures. I am going to try to start taking pictures to document the wonderful experiences that we have everyday since the last time we picked up a camera was on our honeymoon (for those of you who don't know we lost our camera while we were there so technically we haven't taken a picture together since the day we got married!) So wish me luck! Hopefully I will to create a more exciting post later this week wich will include pictures.
